Our Columbus office has an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Account Manager to support both client services & public relations in our health & wellness group.
The Assistant Account Manager supports the team and client’s needs in a responsive, efficient, effective, accurate manner. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and has ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously all while anticipating client needs. While exercising client contact at the junior level, they must be able to apply strong, basic business writing to internal and external communications to describe the status of logistics to both audiences.
The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and have a strong desire to further a career in the advertising, PR and WOM arena.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understands how agency resources work, how to contact and apply them
- Support Engagement team with activities including concept development, project management, building presentations, and coordination of special projects
- Writes recommendations or plans based on rationale/data analysis
- Facilitates advertising production by performing traffic functions including opening jobs, tracking budgets, and drafting and distributing change orders
- Provide high quality, turnkey tactical execution
- Understands, explains and applies program objectives and strategies
- Is established as the go-to person on the business from a executional stand point (internal and external)
- Helps guide and directs projects across disciplines
- Leverages consumer insights and knowledge of client business to add value to creative development
- Has exposure to web site development, online marketing and digital communications as well as with traditional advertising development (e.g., TV, radio, print)
- Comfortable with budgeting and billing procedures
- Tracks competitive creative work, advertising, sales and media spending practices
Experience & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university required
- 1-2 years of related experience (advertising, PR, WOM). Agency experience preferred.
- Experience working with healthcare a plus
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects
- Possess ability to think strategically
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms in communications, a plus
- Conducting competitive research and media audits, a plus
