BI Lead at The Mergis Group, Baltimore, MD

Well established company in Baltimore, MD is looking for a BI Lead. This is a direct hire opportunity. The BI Lead will be responsible for developing BI strategy, overseeing all of BI efforts including project management, portfolio management, budgeting and project proposals to upper level management. They will also be responsible for coordinating all resources in developing reporting solutions that encompass data from multiple departments and developing a strong knowledge of SAP BI 4.0 and determining the best use for each tool in delivery effective BI solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred
• A Masters of Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Data Federator, Universes, Web Intelligence, Xcelsius, and Crystal a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of SAP BW Design and Development a plus, but not required.
• Understanding of InfoProviders, MultiProviders, DSO Objects, Process Chains for Data Loads, Transformations a plus, but not required. 
• Strong understanding of ETL and data transformation a plus, but not required.
• Understanding of relational databases and query writing using SQL required. Some experience in Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of BW Solutions using InfoProviders, MultiProviders, DSO Objects, Process Chains for Data Loads, Transformations etc. a plus but not required.
• Public sector BI experience a plus but not required.
• Experience with ERP implementation and business process design a plus but not required.
