Director of Training & Development

This individual is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive plan for meeting the educational needs of the organization; plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates leadership development programming and activities for the organization; acts as an educational resource-consultant for organizational competency assessment and training needs; oversight for all aspects of educational development, including administration of nursing and allied health CE and CME, simulation training, education center central scheduling, audio-visual services, medical library services, and clinical orientation.

Requirements for the position include Masters Degree in Nursing; registered nurse with current license; certification in area of practice; five years healthcare teaching experience, of which three years must be at a management level; program/curriculum development experience in healthcare related field; minimum five years health care experience; trained in Adult Education Principles; strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent computer skills.
