Mobile Developers - Summer Intern at Gannett Digital, Mc Lean, VA

Gannett Digital, a top 20 digital media and Fortune 500 company, seeks an intern to support our strategic initiatives in the company. Excellent internship opportunity!

This is a paid internship and the intern will be exposed to the digital media industry, working with Gannett / USA TODAY mobile development teams.

Internship is based out of Gannett / USA TODAY HQ in Tysons Corner, VA. and will provide valuable real-world experience in a cutting-edge work environment:

  • Local Mobile and USAT mobile products on iOS, Android and mobile web
  • Responsible for working alongside a team member in downloading and testing native iOS and Android apps for local markets and USAT
  • Responsible for working alongside a team member in assisting with mobile operations works for native apps and CMS configurations for mobile web sites
  • The possibility of getting a full time job with the biggest content publisher in the US
  • Experience working with largest publishing company in the US
  • Experience handling and dealing with products reaching 100+ markets
  • Experience with the hottest technology in the market
  • The intern is considered an integral part of the Digital department and as such, their ideas
    and input will be valued.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering majors or similar preferred
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be an advanced user of a smart phone (iPhone/Android) or a device like an iPod Touch
  • Passionate about solving problems
  • The intern must be well organized, and detail-oriented
  • Must possess strong computer development and design skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask essential
  • Interest in media and online industries
  • Must be an effective communicator
