Web Designer - Summer Intern at Gannett Digital, Mc Lean, VA

Gannett Digital, a top 20 digital media and Fortune 500 company, seeks an intern to support our strategic initiatives in the company. Excellent internship opportunity!

This is a paid internship and the intern will be exposed to the digital media industry and will give the intern valuable real-world experience.

• The Web Designer for product draws from existing design patterns, or occasionally extending the patterns, to create new products for Gannett's digital operations.  The best Web Designers are skilled at working alongside front-end developers to envision new functionality that isn't overly difficult to create.

• The intern is considered an integral part of the Digital department and as such, their ideas
  and input will be valued.

• BFA Web Design majors desired or similar such as Digital Design or Multimedia majors
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, HTML & CSS
• Familiarity with Web design, front-end development, multimedia production experience desired
• The intern must be well organized, and detail-oriented
• Must possess strong computer and design skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask essential
• Excellent communication skills
