Our client, a fast growing company, is seeking a Web Developer, Server & Client Side. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced, agile development environment and have in-depth experience with server and front end technologies building rich web-based applications. We are looking for someone that is enthusiastic about learning new web technologies, is excited about working closely with a small group of developers, enjoys taking ownership of their work, and wants to help us think about and design new software solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, code, test, and deploy software products in an agile development environment
Perform customer requirements analysis, working closely with product team and security consultants
Perform rapid prototyping on an ongoing basis
Produce mappings of requirements into technical design
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN:
One or more of the following server side technologies: PHP, Python, Ruby/ROR, Java, .NET.
Data management and abstraction; experience with SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
JSON, XML, DOM parsing models, and XSLT transformations
Source code version control (SVN, CVS, git, or other)
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE FAMILIARITY WITH:
Linux web server and application server development, including LAMP
Background developing enterprise and scalable web applications
JavaScript, jQuery/Dojo, CSS, HTML5, and AJAX technologies.
Test-driven development (TDD) and automated unit testing tools
Object oriented languages and methodologies (OOD/OOP)
EDUCATION: Requires B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or comparable work experience.
